Turn a drone flight into a 3D signal map

Mount your phone on a drone, fly the route, and RSRP Camera renders the signal in 3D — weak spots jump out at a glance.

Field-grade scenarios, one app to cover them all

From carrier maintenance and equipment acceptance to academic research — RSRP Camera bakes signal measurement into the photo workflow.

Cell site planning

Survey signal conditions at candidate cell-site locations before construction, as input for site selection.

Coverage surveys

Walk every floor and dead spot indoors or outdoors. Each photo becomes a coverage data point.

Interference troubleshooting

When customers report poor service, photograph along the route — the signal trail pinpoints the interference source.

Equipment acceptance

After commissioning new equipment, each acceptance photo includes verifiable signal data — audit-ready.

Customer site verification

On customer sites, photograph problem areas with measured signal values as objective on-site evidence.

Academic research

Propagation studies and signal characterization. CSV export makes statistics, plotting, and paper writing straightforward.

Independent RF consulting

Document field surveys for clients. Each photo is a billable deliverable with verifiable signal data.

Tower climber & inspection teams

Photograph equipment with simultaneous signal context. Pre/post-maintenance comparison in one workflow.

WISP & private network operators

Validate coverage at customer premises. Carry the proof in your photo album, not in 3 different apps.

Professional field workflow, end-to-end

Cut out manual logging, post-processing cross-referencing, and file matching.

Real-time signal measurement & speed test

Read RSRP / RSRQ / SINR / Cell ID for 4G and 5G simultaneously, refreshing in milliseconds. Built-in speed test runs DL only, UL only, or both — your choice, captured in the same record.

Automatic photo watermarking

GPS, timestamp, and signal values are burned into the photo at capture time — the photo itself is the report.

CSV data export with throughput

Export an entire survey as CSV — signal, GPS, and DL/UL throughput together in one record. Drop straight into Excel, Power BI, or your in-house analytics tool.

🔒 Tamper-evident reports

CSV exports are cryptographically signed by our server — verify online that your data was signed by RSRP Camera and never altered. Photos contain burned-in watermarks tied to GPS and timestamp. Audit-ready by design.

Indoor coverage heatmap

Multi-floor RSRP heatmap with custom palette. Visualize signal distribution across every floor of a building, not just walked routes.

Floor-plan overlay with photo pins

Import building floor plans and pin photos to exact measurement positions. Indoor surveys finally have a single source of truth.

Cell Trace stationary analysis

Tap the cell table to record 30 seconds of signal behavior. RSRP Camera categorizes detected cells into Dominant, Best, and Seen — surfacing pilot pollution and handover candidates at a glance. Built for stationary point analysis, not just route walking.

Stays on your device

Measurements, photos, and GPS tracks never leave your phone. Client confidentiality is preserved.

Multilingual UI

Supports 12 interface languages, follows your system language automatically.

Album · annotation

Built-in album, multi-select sharing, and on-photo annotation editing — one app from capture to delivery.

Every screen, designed for the field

From camera to album to CSV export — one focused workflow across the whole app.

5G Coverage Heatmap

Switch to 5G SS-RSRP / RSRQ / SINR and spot weak spots at a glance.

CSV export dialog

CSV Export (Pro)

Batch export by date or site, ready for Excel.

Three steps from measurement to report

No complex setup, no post-processing. Three taps from arrival to deliverable.

1

Open the camera

The app reads the current 4G / 5G signal and shows it live at the top of the viewfinder.

2

Aim and shoot

Tap the shutter. Signal values, GPS, and timestamp are watermarked directly into the photo.

3

Export CSV (Pro)

When the survey is done, batch export selected photos to CSV. Drop into your reporting system.

Every capture is an auditable record

RSRP Camera wires the signal API directly into the shutter button. The moment you tap, GPS, timestamp, and signal values are permanently bound to the photo.

  • Signal data from Android's official TelephonyManager API
  • Sub-second resolution captures momentary variations
  • Watermark is burned into the JPEG — tamper-evident
  • GPS accuracy depends on device — typically 3–10 m

Built by engineers, for engineers

Every RF engineer knows the routine:

  • Take a screenshot of the signal meter
  • Open Speedtest, run it, take another screenshot
  • Open the camera, take a photo of the site
  • Back at the office: open Excel, cross-reference 3 sets of screenshots, match timestamps, validate GPS — for every single measurement point
  • 50-100 measurement points per site = half a day of reconciliation work
  • Reports often rejected because screenshots don't align

RSRP Camera was built by a telecom engineer with 14+ years of field experience who got tired of that workflow. We collapsed it into one shutter press.

It does exactly one thing: turn signal data into a trustworthy, usable, shareable photo.

Frequently asked questions

Common concerns up front. If your question isn't covered, email us.

Which Android version do I need?
Android 12 (API 31) or later. That covers Android phones from 2021 onwards — 99% of working telecom engineers' phones qualify. Android 15+ is recommended for the best performance and the latest 5G signal APIs.
Does the app upload my measurements or photos?
No. Measurements, photos, and GPS tracks stay on your device — Chiang Labs servers never collect them. The app does use a small amount of cellular data (~3 KB every few seconds) for radio keep-alive to fetch fresh signal readings, plus periodic license verification.

Note: If you're on Lite, Google AdMob (an independent third party) collects ad-related non-personal data per their own policy. This is separate from Chiang Labs — we do not access or process this data. See the Privacy Policy.
Which carriers / countries are supported?
The app reads Android's 4G / 5G signal APIs, which are carrier-independent. It works worldwide wherever Android can read signal data. Note: Play Store availability varies by region.
Can I use captured photos for commercial reports?
Yes. Your photos and exported files belong to you and can be used commercially — client deliverables, academic publishing, anything. We claim no rights to your output.
What does Pro cost? Can I cancel?
Pricing and billing cycle are shown in your Google Play Store. Subscriptions are managed via Google Play → Subscriptions and can be cancelled any time, with access until the period ends. No cancellation fees, no lock-in.
Do ads in Lite interfere with measurement?
No. The camera viewfinder contains zero advertising. We don't use interstitial or full-screen ads to interrupt your workflow.
Is there an iOS version?
iOS doesn't expose cellular signal APIs to third-party apps, so an equivalent iOS version isn't currently possible. Android-only is a technical reality, not a roadmap decision. We focus 100% on making the Android experience best-in-class.
What do RSRP / RSRQ / SINR mean?
RSRP (Reference Signal Received Power) is the received power of the reference signal in dBm — higher (closer to zero) means stronger signal. RSRQ (Reference Signal Received Quality) reflects signal quality and interference. SINR (Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio) directly affects achievable throughput. Together they give a complete picture of signal conditions.
How does accuracy compare to a professional scanner?
RSRP Camera reads values from Android's system API. Accuracy depends on chipset and vendor implementation, typically within 1–3 dB of a professional scanner. Good for general field surveys, planning, and customer troubleshooting. For test-certification accuracy, a dedicated scanner is still recommended.
Can someone alter the values on my photos?
The watermark is burned into JPEG pixels — editing it out leaves visible traces. Combined with EXIF GPS and timestamp data, the photo can be cross-validated. For audit-grade scenarios, RSRP Camera produces records that are reasonably trustworthy.
